Taking a risk moving 1,700 miles away to somewhere so beautiful and realizing that anything is possible has been the most empowering thing I could imagine. There has been so much that has happened and so much adaptation has taken place. Moving to the ‘Emerald City’ here I stand proud with a permanent smile on my face; I have been introduced to such beautiful and powerful details all around me.
It all starts in the morning, the air is so crisp and chilling, rolling out of bed excited to start my day usually rushing to get ready I pack my heavy fitness books and typical morning preparation I grab my lunch and I’m out the door. I eagerly drive to the transit center where I hop on the bus and slide a $1.75 bus ticket in the slot and then am introduced to such a unique crowd of individuals. Getting dropped off in the Westlake tunnel I hike up what most people would say ridiculous amount of stairs, I find it as an ecstasy. Once I reach the top on main level I am surrounded by such a different crowd of beings than I have been in the past. As I’m walking I soak in the beauty being engulfed by sky scrapers. I hear raindrops, I hear coins jingling, I hear sirens, I hear begging, I hear laughing, I hear crying…I hear life.
The sound of life is the most beautiful thing…it’s the feeling of being alive and having the blessing of one of your senses. On a typical day I go to class early to workout but for some reason I was guided to go a different route. I walked my strong legs down to Pike’s Place Market, walking proud with my shoulders back and a grin on my face. It was like an angel was holding my hand and steering me down to the waterfront viewing where I had never gone. From that moment on I was soaking in the ultimate beauty of the Puget Sound and the ferry’s coming and going and noticing the warming color of the leaves. Then I came upon a sign that is such a moving piece of work I truly believe it was God’s mysterious ways. I saw a sign that says the following: “Follow your heart & your dreams. Nothing is Impossible. Believe.” God has always been there for me through so much and I strongly believe everything happens for a reason. I believe each and every person in this world serves a very valid purpose in this passionate thing we call life. Seeing that quote has confirmed my place in life. I didn’t write it but I live by it.
With that said, don’t stop smiling, believe in yourself. Don’t ever let somebody say you can’t do something. No matter what, dig deep down within yourself to do what you love and what you’re passionate about. Follow your heart and your dreams, nothing…and I mean nothing is Impossible. Don’t stop believing…go for what feels right and don’t ever look back. Be strong, I believe in you!
